AGM MEETING

33 members attended the AGM meeting tonight in Ammanford Social Club. Welcome to our 3 new members, always a pleasure to see new faces. We were also very pleased to be joined by Tom Beor one of our life members. Since its creation the club has seen over 500 members and is still going strong with 56 current members coming from all over South Wales.

The agenda tonight aimed to discuss last year's matters and elect a new committee. After our chairman's welcome and reflection, both secretary and treasurer presented their reports. The club discussed last year's events, trips and website. Successful trips to the Derbyshire Dales and Spain took place thanks to the hard work of their organisers. Also, summer ride outs both midweek and Sundays were great gatherings.

The relocation to Ammanford Social Club was also voted as a success with new and old members joining and average club nights attendance rising to over 25.

Nick's NEC trip was as usual a great success. The charity event this year allowed us to donate nearly £1000 to Ammanford Junior Gateway which supports children and adults with a learning disability and their families.

A new committee was elected tonight and consists of:

- Chairman: Robert Penrose
- Vice Chairman: John Gill
- Treasurer: Sid Crimes
- Secretary: Nick Davies
- Assistant Secretary: Barrie Davies
- Liaison Officer: Debbie Welsby
- Committee: Karen Evans, Carl Williams, Robert Welsby
- Webby: Barrie Davies and Liz Harley
We wish the new committee all the best for the forthcoming year.

CHAIRMAN'S CLUBMAN OF THE YEAR AWARD

The chairman presented Mr Barrie Davies with the Clubman of the year award tonight. Barrie has worked very hard in 2011 as an assistant secretary and has organised very successful trips. He is a very valued member of the club. We congratulate him on a well deserved award.

(And he did not pay me to say this!)
